What's in a Name

The phrase forensically sound has been defined over and over throughout the years by many in the field.  It has been used to describe the forensic copies of digital media, tools of the trade, and methodologies.  Whatever is being described, I consider it forensically sound if it involves procedures or tools which are generally accepted within the field; maintains the integrity of the evidence sufficiently enough to be admissible in court, documenting any alterations that may be necessary; and offers repeatable results through sufficient documentation.

Forensic-Kleeh Sound is a some corny humor that I must credit to my mother.  While my wife and I attempted to pick names for our children, my mother was quick to run the chosen names right smack dab up against our last name and add an out of place accent in order to create some ridiculous name so as to show her disapproval of the name.  In this situation I think it actually fits pretty well phonetically as well as reflects the goofy humor that many of us develop in the office to cope with the day to day sights and sounds of what sometimes appears to be a very morbid and sick world.
